The present invention provides the full-length genomic RNA of papaya leaf-distortion mosaic virus, a method for diagnosing infection with papaya leaf-distortion mosaic virus using the full-length genomic RNA, a method for producing a papaya leaf-distortion mosaic virus-resistant plant, and a method for producing a foreign protein in a plant body.
