The plurality of angularly spaced apart receiving features (44) are adapted for removably engaging said at least one attaching feature (20). In another embodiment, a speaker mounting system (10) contains a detachable base stand (60) having at least one base attaching feature (62) and a speaker unit (12) defines a plurality of angularly spaced apart receiving features (44). The plurality of angularly spaced apart receiving features (44) are adapted for removably engaging said at least one base attaching feature (62).
