This invention relates to novel phthalamide derivatives of formula (I) ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 have the meanings given in the disclosure, to processes for their preparation, and to their use as insecticidal agents in agricultural and horticultural field.
