Automatic lighting control systems, devices, and methods that
automatically control a light source in response to detected computer
usage by a user are disclosed. The automatic lighting control method
comprises monitoring usage of a computer and controlling an output of a
light based on the usage. The system comprises a computer configured to
detect usage of the computer by a user, a central server, a lighting
controller unit, and a light source that is controlled based on the usage
of the computer. The usage is selected from the group consisting of a key
stroke, a mouse movement, a use of a peripheral device operatively
coupled to the host computer, and any combination thereof.
