The present invention relates to arsenic sulfide compounds. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions useful for treating cancer, such as leukemia or lymphoma, which comprises an arsenic sulfide compound. The present invention further relates to methods for treating cancer, such as leukemia or lymphoma, using an arsenic sulfide compound. Finally, the present invention relates to processes for producing arsenic disulfide (As.sub.4S.sub.4).
