A method of transposing a nonautonomous transposon gene of rice (Oryza sativa) comprises culturing anthers of rice or treating seeds, leaves, stems oracallus of auxiliary buds of rice with 5-azacytidine or 5-deazadeoxycytidine. A plant is produced by the transposition method of the invention.
