A borosilicate glass, having a spectral edge wavelength in a UV range of 280 to 325 nm, which can be set in a simple and defined manner, with the composition in percent by weight on an oxide basis of 60 75% SiO.sub.2, 10 15% B.sub.2O.sub.3, 5 15% Na.sub.2O, 5 10% K.sub.2O, 0 5% Li.sub.2O, 0.1 1 CaO, 0.5 3% BaO, >0 1.7% TiO.sub.2, 0 0.5% Sb.sub.2O.sub.3, and normal refining agents.
