The present invention relates to methods for prophylactic nutritional
supplementation and therapeutic nutritional supplementation.
Specifically, the method involves administering to an individual a
composition comprising vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D, vitamin C,
thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, pantothenic
acid, cobalamin, magnesium, manganese, zinc, selenium, chromium, copper,
iron, alpha lipoic acid, lutein, and lycopene to prevent, treat and/or
alleviate the occurrence or negative effects of vitamin and mineral
deficiencies and to prevent, treat and/or alleviate the occurrence or
negative effects of various disease states including cancer,
cardiovascular disease and anemia.
