A method and system provides a unique data display tool for use in
acquiring and storaging personal educational or vocational information.
The method and system utilizes road map-like analogies to guide the user
through a number of displays, each of which is intended to provide
information and guidance to the user for acquiring information, for
knowing where to look for the information, and what to do with it once
acquired. The method and system also provides a number of checklists and
abbreviated shortcuts to aid the user in the complete and accurate
acquisition of important information. In the preferred embodiment of the
method and system, the tool is tailored to use by high school students,
parents and guidance professionals to assist students in the process of
successfully completing high school as well as preparing for life after
high school.
