Disclosed herein is a novel therapy cushion for use in conjunction with a
conventional blood pressure cuff. The cuff is inserted into the cushion,
and the cushion with inserted cuff is placed between the legs (or against
one leg). The cuff is inflated and used as calibrated resistance training
device for therapeutic/rehabilitation purposes. The device is especially
effective following hip or knee replacement surgery. The manometer (on
the blood pressure cuff) serves to indicate resistance level. Other
variations are possible for other exercises.
