The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a light-emitting
element that can be driven with low voltage or utilizes current more
efficiently without damaging an organic compound, and a light-emitting
element formed by the method. According to the present invention, a
rubbing treatment is performed on a surface of an electrode on which an
organic layer is formed so as to control a molecular arrangement of an
organic compound included in the organic layer. A second electrode is
formed over the organic compound.
