The present invention is directed to a continuous process for the preparation of fructopyranose sulfamate derivatives of the general formula (I) ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and X are as herein defined. The present invention is further directed to a continuous process for the preparation of Topiramate.
