A Class D amplifier receives an input signal and includes a ramp generator
that generates a ramp signal and an inverted ramp signal. A signal
generator generates a first signal when the ramp signal or the inverted
ramp signal transitions from less than the input signal to greater than
the input signal. The signal generator generates a second signal when the
ramp signal or the inverted ramp signal transitions from greater than the
input signal to less than the input signal. An output stage drives
current through a load based on the first and second signals.
