The present invention provides compounds that are inhibitors of the proteolytic activity of the enzyme .beta.-secretase, pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds, processes for making the compounds, and methods of using the compounds to treat Alzheimers disease.
