The invention relates to complexes that consist of vitamin D compounds or analogs thereof with a 5Z,7E,10(19)-triene system and methylated derivatives of .beta.-cyclodextrin, in particular a complex that consists of (thiazol-2-yl)-26,27-dinor-9,10-secocholesta-5,7,10(19)-triene-1,3,25-- triol and heptakis-(2,6-di-O-methyl)-.beta.-cyclodextrin (DIMEB).
