In a method for operating a vehicle having a drive, a value of an internal
torque to be supplied by the drive is determined from a positive
propulsion torque requested by a user or a control and/or regulating
system and the drive is triggered accordingly. Furthermore, the drive may
supply a negative propulsion torque. A value of a negative propulsion
torque requested by the user or by the control and/or regulating system
is determined and then used to determine a value of a corresponding
negative internal torque to be supplied by the drive and the drive may be
triggered accordingly.
