A projectile weapon, preferably adapted to fire non- and less-lethal munitions. An elongate tubular body includes a barrel portion and a receiver portion, with a breech assembly disposed in the receiver portion adjacent the barrel portion. A handle is affixed to and extends outward from the receiver portion. A firing mechanism is disposed within the receiver portion adjacent the breech assembly. A trigger is adapted to slide in a longitudinal direction along the elongate tubular body. The trigger extends outward from the receiver portion in a direction generally parallel to the handle. The trigger is slidable between at least a deployed position and a retracted position. In the deployed position, the trigger assembly is adapted to actuate the firing mechanism. In the retracted position, the trigger face is recessed into the handle.
