The first guide portion has a first dimension in the first fitting direction. The second optical connector includes a second connector body, a second light shielding device fitted to the second connector body in a second fitting direction, and a second guide portion coupled to the second light shielding device to guide fitting of the second light shielding device to the second connector body. The second guide portion has a second dimension in the second fitting direction. In the optical connector, the second dimension is determined greater than the first dimension.
