A motor control system has a rotary member, a motor for imparting a torque
to the rotary member, a motor driving circuit for supplying power to the
motor, and a drive control circuit for controlling a motor current
supplied to the motor. An upper limit value of the motor current supplied
to the motor is set so as to be variable. At the start of the motor, the
drive control means controls the motor current by using the upper limit
value as a set value.
