The communication base comprises a radio interface to communicate with a communication device operating by means of a software application, a charger circuit and a means of detecting a new version of the software. The communication base comprises a means for notifying the device, via the radio means, of the availability of the new software version and a means for transmitting the new software version to the device when the charger circuit is connected to the battery charging circuit of the device.
