A variety of features and/or survival items may be provided in association with the floating life-sustaining facility (205), and access to the facility and/or survival items may be selectively provided for authorized beneficiaries of the subscriptions based at least in part on the type of consideration-based private civil security subscription possessed by the authorized beneficiary.
