Matrix controlled diffusion drug delivery systems comprising a therapeutically effective amount of one or more pharmaceutically active agents entrapped in a copolymer which is a reaction product of a monomeric mixture comprising one or more acrylate ester and/or methacrylate ester-containing monomers and one or more acrylamido-containing monomers are disclosed.
