At least one radiation pattern is rotated at a first radio station for the
purpose of sampling a predefined angular range. At a first time of
rotation, a second radio station is detected with a first angular
position within the angular range corresponding to the first time. The
second radio station determines a first quality value which can be
assigned to the first angular position and reports the first quality
value back to the first radio station. The first quality value is
available for evaluation at the first radio station at a second time
corresponding to a second angular position of the radiation pattern. The
first radio station controls the speed of rotation of the at least one
radiation pattern for subsequent rotations so that the first angular
position corresponds to the second angular position.
