An online system implemented as an interactive method that controls the
distribution Internet media by providing a process that searches to
locate media files (audio, video and graphical image, or other content)
cataloged in a Universal Media Code (UMC) database pursuant to
context-sensitive search criteria submitted by potential customers and
upon locating one or more media files that match the search criteria,
displays descriptive information to aid in the user's selection process,
including but not limited to media artist and pricing information.
