A drinkable oatmeal product comprises an oat component and water, both in
a retortable container. The product is commercially sterilized or
sanitized. The container may be a cup so as to provide one-handed
convenience for consumers. The product may include a fruit component,
such as a fruit juice, a yogurt containing fruit, a fruit puree, a fresh
fruit, and/or a fruit preserve. Methods of preparing the oatmeal product
are also provided.
