Nucleic acids encoding Campylobacter proteins, in particular antigenic proteins such as a flagellin, or encoding a variant thereof, or a fragment of either of these, are capable of protecting poultry such as chickens, against colonisation by Campylobacter, and so may be used in veterinary therapy or prophylaxis.
