A method of fabricating an organic electroluminescent display by forming a
lower electrode on a substrate and forming an insulating film with an
opening part for exposing a portion of the lower electrode. An organic
thin film is formed on the substrate and a surface of a portion of the
organic thin film layer is selectively treated. A luminescent layer is
formed on another portion of the organic thin film layer; and an upper
electrode is formed on the front of the substrate.
