The present invention provides compounds, for example, of formula (I): ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 have any of the values defined in the specification, as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds. The invention also provides therapeutic methods, and processes and intermediates useful for preparing compounds of formula I.
