The present invention relates to an improved process for preparing
enantiomerically pure 3-hydroxy-3-phenyl-propylamines on an industrial
scale using asymmetrical hydrogenation as a key step and optionally a
special sequence of subsequent steps, using a catalyst system consisting
of rhodium and chiral
4-(dicyclohexylphosphino)-2-(diphenyl-phosphino-methyl)-N-methyl-aminocar-
bonyl-pyrrolidine.
