A system is also described, including a user interface configured to provide user input to and data output from a trade-off semantic network, a plurality of elemental attributes arranged within the trade-off semantic network, a configuration module for relating each of the plurality of elemental attributes to each other to configure a trade-off relationship between each of the plurality of elemental attributes, and a logic module configured to define an agility extension configured to modify a value for each of the plurality of elemental attributes, where the value affects the trade-off relationship between each of the plurality of elemental attributes.
