A black ink for inkjet recording having an aqueous medium containing a dye
in which .lamda.max of the absorption spectrum in an aqueous solution is
in the region from 500 and 700 nm and the half-value width in the
absorption spectrum of a dilute solution standardized to an absorbance of
1.0 is 100 nm or more. An object of the present invention is to provide
an inkjet recording ink ensuring excellent discharge stability even after
aging of the ink and also exhibiting excellent weather resistance.
