A dielectric ceramic position having at least a main component including barium titanate, a first subcomponent including at least one type of compound selected from MgO, CaO, BaO, a SrO, a second subcomponent including at least one type of compound selected from Al.sub.2O.sub.3, Li.sub.2O, and B.sub.2O.sub.3, a third subcomponent including at least one type of compound selected from V.sub.2O.sub.5, MoO.sub.3, and WO.sub.3, a fourth subcomponent including an oxide of R1 (where R1 is at least one type of element selected from Sc, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu), and a fifth subcomponent including CaZrO.sub.3 or CaO+ZrO.sub.2.
