An instructional system for teaching the tying of shoelaces using at least
one shoelace (1) having a first half section (2) which is preferably
light in color, for example, yellow, and a second half section (3), which
is preferably dark in color, for example, blue. The two half sections (2)
and (3) are permanently secured to one another to form the shoelace (1).
Markings (5) are located at a predetermined distance on the first half
section (2) of the shoelace (1) to assist a person in learning to tie a
shoelace (1).
