The determination unit determines whether a digital video image to be displayed on the display device is in a landscape format. The display control unit rotates both the digital video image to be displayed on the display device and the information relating to the portable device by 90 degrees, if it is determined by the determination unit that the digital video image to be displayed on the display device is in the landscape format.
