A method of controlling an access time for accessing a flash memory
comprises comparing a target address of the flash memory with an address
of the flash memory that was previously accessed; setting the access time
for the flash memory to be a first access time if the target address does
not correspond to the same page of the flash memory as the previous
address; and setting the access time for the flash memory to be a second
access time if the target address corresponds to the same page of the
flash memory as the previous address, the first access time being greater
than the second access time.
