The invention relates to a mapping method, whereby color values of the
color image to be mapped, represented in the RGB color space are mapped
in the highlight-color color space, corresponding to a projection of the
color values in highlight-color. The corresponding calculations are
carried out in the RGB color space. A transformation into another color
space is not necessary. Furthermore, various corrections are provided,
such that a highlight color image is created which is as natural as
possible for the human eye.
