The present invention relates to a composition of at least one cation of an element selected from Group IIA elements, transition metals, Group IIB elements, Group IIIA elements, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, As, Sb, Bi, Te, and Po and at least one polyester resin, which can be used as a low VOC binder for the manufacture of fibrous insulation.
