The method includes determining a number of total golf shots hit by a golf group on a golf hole, determining a number of total golf shots selected by the golf group on the golf hole from the number of total golf shots hit to obtain a holed score for the golf hole, and determining a scaled score for the golf group on the golf hole based on both the number of total golf shots hit and the number of total golf shots selected.
