The system employs an HTML authoring software module that works in conjunction with a word processing software module to create web pages. The HTML authoring software module uses the templates available in the word processing software module to create style groups. Users can invoke the style groups when converting a text document to an HTML document in order to achieve uniformity and customization with the text and HTML code that comprise a web page.
