A center axis of a viewing angle of the liquid crystal panel unit is not parallel to a line normal to a surface of the liquid crystal panel. The support member is provided with an opening portion transmitting light from the back side toward the liquid crystal panel unit. The opening portion has a region which has 180.degree. rotational symmetry with respect to a center of the supporting member.
