The invention relates to a composition containing an alkyl and/or alkenyl
oligoglycoside and a cationic alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside of the
formula:
R.sup.2--O-[G].sub.x-Z.sub.y (II)
wherein, R.sup.2 is a linear or branched alkyl and/or alkenyl group
containing 4 to 22 carbon atoms, G is a sugar unit containing 5 or 6
carbon atoms, x is a number of 1 to 10, y is a number of 1 to 4 and Z is
an --OCH.sub.2--(CH(B)).sub.v--(CH(A)).sub.w-N.sup.+(R.sup.3R.sup.4R.sup.-
5)X.sup.- group, where A and B independently of one another represent
hydrogen or a hydroxyl group, v and w independently of one another are
numbers of 1 to 18, X is an anion selected from the group consisting of
chloride, bromide, iodine, fluoride, NO.sub.3.sup.-, SO.sub.4.sup.2- and
PO.sub.4.sup.3-, and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 independently of one
another represent hydrogen or alkyl and/or alkenyl groups containing 1 to
22 carbon atoms and at least two of the substituents R.sup.3 to R.sup.5
are alkyl and/or alkenyl groups. The composition is distinguished by high
mildness towards the skin and hair and, at the same time, by excellent
foam properties and cleaning performance.
