A new and distinct variety of apple tree `Malus Pumila Mil` named `Emmons` and which is characterized as to novelty by a uniqueness of shape, color, flavor and texture of the fruit, and a date of maturity for commercial harvesting and shipment of about September 29.sup.th under the ecological conditions prevailing in Central Washington.
