A dispensing cap permits the contents of a canister to be heated prior to
being dispensed. The cap includes a dispensing mechanism and is designed
to be mounted to the top of a canister containing a product. Small
apertures spaced about the cap permit heated water from a faucet or other
source to enter the cap and flow over the top of the canister below and
within the cap. The heated water warms the top of the canister, interior
dispensing mechanism, and the contents of the canister. As a result, the
contents of the canister are warm when dispensed. When used with a
shaving cream or gel canister, for example, the heated contents provide a
more comfortable shave than contents dispensed at a colder room
temperature.
