The folding apparatus includes at least an upper structure, at least one folding funnel and a cross cutting device for separating the web of material, which has been transported in the upper structure and folded on the folding funnel, into individual products. At least one guide rail is provided. A holding part with a guiding end of at least one web of material fixed thereto, is displaceably guided on a path of web travel of the web through the upper structure. At least one guide rail is provided along the folding funnel.
