The present invention relates to production of alcoholic beverage enriched with .sup.1H.sub.2.sup.16O in comparison with typical alcoholic beverage. This is provided by addition to alcoholic beverage highly pure light water comprising H.sub.2.sup.16O from about 99.76% to about 99.99% by weight of water. The addition of highly pure light water to alcoholic beverage composition leads to lowering of the ethanol toxicity.
