In another embodiment, a command arbitrator answers at least one non-media access command received from a transmitting server. Furthermore, a buffer may store a first consecutive write command for a first time interval and a second consecutive write command for a second time interval if the first time interval has not expired in one embodiment. In addition, a reset command may be generated if at least a first and a nth retry request for a failed command is unsuccessful, in one embodiment.
