The completion of an electronic checklist is facilitated by the automated
display of certain data while completing the checklist. The disclosed
program presents an automated display of synoptic, navigational, or
flight management data for each task in a checklist. For each task in a
checklist, there may be certain data which would aid the pilot or other
user to complete the checklist. Such data can be displayed
contemporaneously with the checklist. After the completion of each task
in the checklist, the contents of the display can be restored to the
state the display was in before the checklist was started.
