The mobile telephone further receives messages, such as SMS messages, and a storage for storing a radio channel setting contained in a received message in the radio channel memory. A method of updating radio channel settings of a mobile phone having a broadband AM and/or FM radio receiver is provided. The mobile phone receives messages. The message contains a radio channel setting. The radio channel setting may be stored in the mobile phone.
