An anti-microbial composition is provided. The anti-microbial composition
includes a first ingredient obtainable from ginger, a second ingredient
obtainable from green tea, an optional third ingredient available from
turmeric, and, optionally, an acceptable carrier. Also provided are
methods of reducing, treating or preventing at least one symptom or
adverse effect of microbial infection in a patient. The methods include
the step of administering to the patient prior to expected exposure to a
microbe, concurrently with exposure to a microbe, or after exposure to a
microbe, an effective amount of a composition of the invention.
