A safety device does not prevent any movement of the hand, wrist, or
fingers; but discourages extension, the upward movement of the wrist. A
"breakaway" property is provided so that the wearer may have complete
freedom at any point. The device is worn to keep the user's wrist in a
safe position least likely to induce carpal tunnel syndrome, reminding
the user to hold the hand in a position which may relieve carpal tunnel
syndrome or reduce the likelihood of acquiring this syndrome.
